  1. Food Day was a interesting event with vendors who and small business owners who sell and advertise their product. They do this with fresh food, their own recipes, and from their own personal farms and from where they raise some of their food.

  2. Food Day at Coppell Farmers Market was a great experience because I was able to see that there are many local businesses that sell novelty products and fresh produce. Since I had never been to the Coppell Farmers Market before, I was particularly interested in browsing through the various stalls and looking at what they had to offer. I would love to return to the Coppell Farmers Market and I definitely recommend my friends to check it out also. It is a great concept because the items are fresh and the local businesses stimulate the local economy. Another advantage is that many of the items that were available there would not be available in a grocery store, especially not for that price or quality. The Food Day event promoted healthy living and eating because it showed the variety of fresh, locally grown produce that are available for purchase.

  3. I really enjoyed going to Food Day Saturday morning. I think it is so neat that there are people who still grow their own fruits and vegetables. One of my favorite tents was the pizza tent. They were giving out free samples of pizza and it tasted really good and fresh. I also enjoyed the produce tent because it had so many fresh vegetables. Attending Food Day made me realize that I can still enjoy eating while also maintaining a healthy diet. I also learned that growing your own food really isn’t that difficult and that it can help save a lot of money and it's healthier.

  4. Food day was a cool experience. It really made me want to eat healthy, so I bought an apple on my way out. Waking up early and going to eat some fresh fruits started my day off right and i felt better and more awake the whole day. I think if more families went to the farmers market every weekend we would have a healthier community. Ethan and i talked with the ladies at the fruit tent for a couple of minutes and they taught us about each of the fruit.

  5. Food Day at the Coppell Farmers Market was a memorable experience for me. I like to eat healthy, so I was intrigued by all the fresh produce. I noticed that in the back, breakfast pizza was being sampled and sold. That caught my eye because it's always nice to see that unhealthy food like pizza can be made healthy. I definitely want to go back to the Farmers Market and buy all the fresh food. The prices were very reasonable, attracting me even more to buy. Overall I loved Food Day!

  6. Food Day was a fun experience to be apart of last Saturday. All the food vendors and farmers were fun and friendly to talk too. It was interesting learning firsthand about where the fruits and vegetables came from and how the farmers grew them. The pizza tent was one of my favorite spots that I had stopped by. I normally don't have the healthiest diet because healthy food doesn't really appeal to me, but after walking through the farmers market and seeing all the neat stuff healthy food can be apart of, it made me realize that healthy food can be appetizing and fun to eat. Plus the pizza they were serving was really good. Attending Food Day was a positive experience for me because it made me realize healthy foods have a greater impact on a person and their health rather than junk food.

  7. I had never before been to the Coppell Farmer's Market, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from Food Day at first. When I got there, I sampled some of the delicious food and was blown away! I sampled some honey made from local bees that was very sweet and rich, and I also had a cookie from another vendor who made his own cookies. At the far end of the market was a vendor who made pizza on the spot with all fresh and local ingredients, and then cooked the pizza in a large ceramic oven. My friend and I split a pizza, and it was arguably the best pizza I'd had in quite some time! On the way out, I stopped at an apple vendor and bought a couple apples. They were very juicy and fresh. As a result of Food Day, I have grown a new appreciation for locally grown food at the Farmer's Market, and just how much better it tastes than other grocery store produce.

  8. I had a lot of fun going to Food Day on Saturday because I learned a lot and tried a lot of great, fresh food samples. The Farmer's Market is a great concept because it provides healthy, fresh food at a low cost and all of the produce is grown somewhat locally. All of the vendors were very friendly and they all provided me with good information about the healthy foods they were selling. This event appealed to me a lot because I seem to eat a lot of processed and frozen foods, thinking that there wasn't that much difference in taste or health. After trying many food samples(the fresh pizza was my favorite) I quickly changed my mind and noticed the difference in taste and quality, and I also learned the health benefits of eating fresh food. Food Day was fun and I hope to visit the Farmer's Market sometime again soon!(:

  9. I had quite the experience at the Farmer's Market. There were a lot of products over there I don't think you could get at a lot of grocery stores, especially at that fresh and good quality. I liked all of the stalls, but the one that caught my eye was the trailer with all of the fish and various seafood (even frog legs!). We bought some grouper which tasted really good when we ate it later. I also liked the stall with the WBC (World's best Chocolate) because the chocolate was only $1! Another stall had really good, fresh honey which was better and maybe even cheaper than the grocery store kind. I'd love to tell all about my experience, but I need to get to the main subject. Food Day didn't really impact me about eating healthy (I hear about eating healthy all the time), but it did make me realize how hard it is for those smaller businesses to compete with their clearly superior products when similar, lower quality items are available at the store for way cheaper. But overall,I'm glad I did food day.

  10. Food Day at Coppell Farmers Market was a fun experience because it allowed me to see some of the fresh fruit and vegetable offerings that we have in Dallas/Fort Worth. I used to go to the farmer's market as a child with my mom but I haven't been in many years. I recommend anyone to go to the farmer's market because it is a very educational experience, especially for children. It is a good concept because it is a community bonding activity that promotes local growers and also educates the general public on health and appropriate diet. The Food Day event promoted healthy living and eating because it showed a variety of fresh and organic food options instead of just fast food and fried food.

  11. Farmer's Market was very interesting, and I was able to see fresh home-grown vegetables which tasted great! It was surprising knowing that all of the food in the stalls were made from their homes and not just in factories which meant a lot. There were a variety of stalls with friendly owners. A stall that especially caught my eye and surprised me was the Pizza Stall. They had an oven on a pick-up truck cooking fresh pizza from home-grown vegetables which smelled amazing. I'd probably go again some time because I had such a great time there. This was a memorable experience.

  12. I had been to the Farmers Market before, but it had been years since my last visit. Going for Food Day let me see how far the Farmers Market had come. Last time, it was a very small venue and the quality of the produce (regardless of how fresh it was acclaimed to be) did not seem to be as good as it was this time. At Food Day, the number of vendors and amount of fresh, healthy food was impressive. Booth after booth lined the area with food ranging from vegetables, granola and pasta to pizza, chocolate and honey. At first, Food Day was not promoted very much, but after going around and asking people working about Food Day I found out what it was about. With a focus on healthy living and diet, Food Day introduced the new food "pyramid" which had transformed into a plate and stressed the importance of starting healthy habits at a young age by appealing to a younger audience. I felt as though Food Day could have an impact in the lives of many children as they start living more healthy if it occurred more often than once a year.

  13. I had a lot of fun going Food Day last Saturday, I went a couple of years ago but it wasnt as nearly this big so I was very surprised how big it has gotten. All the vendors were so friendly and provided me information about healthy foods. They had toms of fresh food and gave out samples. Food day made me realize that I can eat healthy and enjoy the food to. Food day was fun and interesting and I learned a lot, I will be deffilenty be going again soon!

  14. Food Day at the Coppell Farmers Market Saturday morning was the first time I have ever been to a farmers market. Going to the farmers market was a different, but interesting experience. I was able to see multiple ways in which people live their lives and what types of produce they grow for a living. As I walked around to all of the different tents, I thought it was very interesting and very informative on where the fruits and vegetables we eat are coming from. Lots of times when you go to the grocery store to look for fresh produce you often find that a lot of the fruits and vegetables are bruised or damaged, but at the farmers market I found that there weren’t any damaged to the point to where people wouldn’t want to buy them. I liked the section where they had all of the tomatoes and all of the fresh vegetables, but my favorite was the tent with the honey. I thought it was unbelievable that eating/drinking honey would help your allergies tremendously. The honey comes from places around where you live, so the honey helps you become a little more immune to what is going through the air around you. Attending the Coppell Farmers Market really made me want to start eating healthier and try and grow my own produce. I am glad I got the opportunity to attend this. Now that I have been to the farmers market and I have seen everything it has to offer and learning about the different produce, I could defiantly see myself going there more often to purchase fresh produce.

  15. After attending Food Day on Saturday, October 22, I learned about some vegetables. At one of the stands, there were multiple types of vegetables, and I was asked to place and sticker on my favorite one. Since I didn’t know what most of them were, one lady told me what each vegetable was. Besides vegetables, there were many other foods for sale at Food Day. These different foods included salmon, pizza, breads, fruits, and chips and salsa. It was my second time to attend a Farmers Market, and it was definitely a new experience seeing foods available from outside of the grocery store available to purchase.

  16. I really enjoyed Food Day mostly because it made people more aware of the Coppell Farmers Market. I usually eat very healthy and I buy most of my food from the farmers market. The fruits and vegetables are so much fresher then food from any local grocry store. Being able to eat a melon that was pick just a day or two ago makes me feel better about what I’m putting into my body. My favorit vender at the market is the lady that sells honey, to me the honey is so much sweeter then honey bought from the grocry store. From the amount of people I saw at Food Day, I’m glad there are more people aware of the farmers market and the fresh food they sell there.

  17. My experience at Food Day at Coppell's Farmers Market was excellent! I had not been to the Farmers Market since I was young when I used to go with my parents, so I really enjoyed going back after a very long time. The fruits and vegetables that the vendors offered looked delicious and appeared to be much fresher than what is offered at our local grocery stores. Also I enjoyed talking with the vendors about the different fruits and vegetables. They seemed quite passionate about their food! Also I discovered that the honey my Mom buys is from the Farmers Market. I did not know that the local honey offered can actually help those with bad allergies. I must admit I rather buy groceries from the Farmers Market than a grocery store because not only is the food better quality, but the experience of walking around, being outdoors, and talking to vendors is enjoyable! Overall I thought Food Day was very fun and I definitely will be returning to the Farmers Market again!

  18. Food day is a really fun event that has a good impact on the community. I got there right when it opened, which was good because there was a huge selection that has not been picked over yet. I was surprised by the wide variety:it was so much more than just fruits and vegetables. There was pizza, cookies and different kinds of drinks. All of the ingredients that were used to make these delicious food items were all natural. Naturally grown produce typically has much more nutrients and vitamins and so they are healthier than the foods found in grocery stores. They also tasted better because they were much fresher. I am really glad that I chose this event to attend because it was fun and helped me learn that healthy can be just as delicious as unhealthy foods.

  19. I liked going to Food Day because it got me involved in the farmers market and checking what it was all about. I'd always wanted to go to a farmers market because eating healthy and understanding where the food I eat is coming from is important to me. The vegetables looked so fresh and it made me interested in wanting to buy them. They weren't died or injected with dies or hormones to make the food more appealing, which is what they do for grocery stores. I briefly saw the pizza they were making and it looked good and was inspired to try and do the same at home. There was such a variety of fruits, fall vegetables, bread and much more. I enjoyed going to Food Day because I learned more about farmers markets and understood from the venders where my food was coming from.

  20. Going to The Food Day at Coppell Farmers Market was a new experience for me. I got to learn a lot of things including the daily needs of protein, carbohydrate etc. I saw a lot of home grown fresh food and vegetables. I got to know that these people sell these vegetables and other food items grown at their home for their living. The thing that took my attention was the pizza stall which made pizzas from homely geown vegetables and other items and the breads which I liked very much as it seems delicious and healthy. Thus visit gave me knowledge that these homely grown products are way more healthier and tastier than other junk foods. The concept of the food day, to make people realize that these homely grown fresh foods are healthier and benifitial for everyone was I liked. At last I got to vote for the my favourite food and I voted for Cucumber and Potato, which I like the most. So at last Eat Fresh..Remain Healthy.

  21. This was the first time I had been to the Coppell Farmers Market, so there were parts of it that were surprising to me. It was definitely something new to me, but there was a lot of food at the Farmers Market that I eat on a regular basis. There were a lot of fruits and vegetables that I would normally eat, but this time they were fresher and tasted better. The Farmers Market sold almost everything I eat, meat, chips, salsa, and even pizza. Everything they sold was so much healthier and even tasted better than what I was used to, I was honestly really surprised by the Market. The only thing that I expected from the Farmers Market were the people that attended. They were mostly young families or people getting a little older, and it didn’t surprise me that these were the kind of people to really care about their health. So, not only the food but the people in attendance really helped convince me that the Farmers Market is a much better choice for fresh food compared to grocery stores.

  22. I had never been to the Farmers Market before, but I was happy I got to go on Saturday for Food Day because it was a very interesting experience and I enjoyed it a lot. I really enjoyed going there because it was nice to see all of the different venders there with all different types of fresh fruits, vegetables. There were also booths for honey, salmon and salsa and chips. It was nice getting to see where all of our fruits and vegetables come from. I think anyone who is trying to eat healthier should defiantly check out the Farmers Market because it'll give you a ton of ideas on what kind of foods you should and shouldn't eat. I think this is also a good place for kids to become because they hand out a "Kids Friendly Recipes" book that has all different kinds of foods that little kids would enjoy. Overall, my experience with Food Day was great.

  23. I enjoyed getting to go to the Coppell Farmer’s Market because I had never been to it, or even heard of it, before. I have been to the farmer’s market in Downtown Dallas, but the one in Coppell was a whole different experience. It was smaller than the one in Dallas, but I liked it better because I got to see what was produced and grown locally in our town. There was a lot of produce that looked appealing to me, and it made me want to try a lot of new foods. I hope to go to the farmer’s market again in the future so I can buy some of the produce.

  24. I enjoyed attending food day at the Coppell Farmer’s Market. I learned a lot about different vegetables and fruits and how they grow and where they come from. I never knew they were different types of the same vegetable like white squash and butternut squash. Learning about different types of fruits and vegetables made me want to start eating healthier and think wisely about my food choices. They had different stands and the people working there were so friendly. Although one stand that caught my eye was the honey stand. They had samples of fresh honey which tasted very delicious and felt really light in your mouth. I definitely wanted to buy honey and eat it all the time! After hearing different ways to improve our eating habits and trying different samples of food made me realize that there are ways to live a healthy lifestyle.

  25. Food day was a neat experience to have been a part of. I was surprised by the number of vendors that were present and the wide variety of foods that each vendor sold. The foods ranged from the usual fruits and vegetables to things I never would have imagined being there, like pizza. There was one stand in particular that caught my eye. They were selling fresh fruit, and I have to admit the apples looked delicious. It was also interesting to see how much better the quality of the fresh grown produce at the market was in comparison to the produce from our local grocery stores. None of the fruit was bruised, and it all looked very appetizing. The vendors were very friendly and one sweet lady specifically was passing out Halloween bracelets. I will most definitely attend the Coppell Farmer’s Market again in the near future and buy some of the fresh fruit and vegetables. I’m glad I got to be a part of food day!

  26. I have been to the Coppell Farmer's Market before, but that was back when I was in either 6th or 7th grade. The great thing about being able to go to a farmer's market is being able to get fresh foods which are grown locally unlike what you would find in a grocery store. The great thing about that is that the food is more fresh than what you buy at a grocery store and the people selling the food at the booths make it a more friendly experience and show that they care about health. On top of that, the fact that they were selling local honey was great because local honey is better for you than your average store bought honey. The one booth that caught my attention the most was the one that was selling the pizzas which tasted better than that of most restaurants. Overall I found Food Day to be a great experience and hope to return to the farmer's market for more fresh produce and other products.

  27. This is my second time going to the Coppell Farmer's Market, and both times i have gone have been great experiences. It's fun to see all the different vendors and the diversity between the types of foods and prices. It was like walking into Sprouts; the smell was fresh, none of the vegetables or fruits were bruised or in bad shape, and the atmosphere was great. What was interesting was all the different types of vegetables like squash, for example. I'm excited about next years food day and plan to participate again.

  28. I really enjoyed Food Day, i had never been before but i thought it was a great experience. There were activities for little kids, which seemed fun, but there was also alot of healthy foods and homemade foods. I bought some freshly made salsa, and it was one of the best and freshest salsa's ive had! I sampled some things, and everything i sampled tasted delicious! By going there it defiantly has a healthy/organic atmosphere that makes you want to just eat healthy. I really enjoyed it and would love to go again, i really liked the food and how close it was and that it was in our town.

  29. I really enjoyed going to the food day farmers market. I have gone before to farmers markets and this was just as great as the others. I think that it is important to learn about eating healthy in everyday life and this was a great way to do it. the community can get involved and can buy some great tasting food in the process. When I went with my family we bought a lot of healthy foods like vegetables and fish. I really enjoyed coming and i will have to check out the farmers markets in the future.

  30. This was my first time to go to the Coppell Farmer's Market and I was surprised at what I saw. I thought the Farmer's Marked was not that interesting and that people were foolish to buy products from there. I now realize that I am mistaken by this assumption. After going there I learned that the food farmers grow do not have any chemicals and that there are fresh from the farm. This is unlike other products that super markets such as Wal Mart sells that include many chemicals and preservatives. Also, the vendors there are much more nice than the people at any other super market. The vendors are able to establish a relationship with their customers which was good because it is always good to interact with people. Probably one of the most surprising part of the trip was local honey. I knew that there are people that sell honey individually instead of selling them to stores. What I did not know was that the local honey was more tasty than honey that is brought from a store. The highlight of my trip was the pizza. This pizza was made with local ingredients in a ceramic oven (probably the first one I ever saw). This pizza was surprisingly tasty. I was thinking that pizza from Pizza Hut and CiCi's were better, but after trying this, this locally made pizza is in fact better. I also did not know that wild caught Alaskan Salmon were sold at the Farmer's Market. After going to the Farmer's Market, I learned valuable information about the market. The Farmer's Market is a better place to buy food because these products are locally grown and no preservatives are added. Although the products might be a little more expensive, it is still worth the money because with the extra money, you are buying your self a better health.

  31. I really enjoyed going to the framers market for food day. Although the activities were geared for a younger age I really enjoyed the farmers market it's self. I had never been to the farmers market in Coppell before and it was really neat. I went to each stand and every one of those "farmers" were very friendly. Everything seemed so fresh and healthy there. I was surprised so many people go to the farmers market. I was also surprised by all the vendors and what they were selling. When me and my mom went to the farmers market we actually ended up buying freshly made salsa that was not only delicious but very fresh. I loved the farmers market and will probably be going there more often.

  32. Food Day was a great experience. I was surprised to see that it has grown bigger over the years. That is very inspiring to know that there are people out there that want to eat healthy and care about sharing with people about ways to eat healthy. All the vendors were friendly and gave all different kinds of information about the healthy foods. It was great learning about what to eat and how to be healthier. Food Day was really fun and interesting. I will be back.

  33. Food Day at the Farmer's Market was more fun than i expected. I had been there before when my mom forced me to go while I was young, but since I have grown up it was actually enjoyable. I was able to talk to some of the farmer's themselves and it was interesting to know their opinions about their own food. After trying many samples we finally got a few loaves of bread, honey, sauce, and other things and the next night i had the best dinner that I have had in a long time. I am glad that i went to the Farmer's market.

  34. I enjoyed going to Food Day this past Saturday because it was my first time to go. I've seen it from a far but I have never actually attended it. I thought it interesting to see all the different fruits and vegetables that are grown locally and how they are so fresh compared to grocery stores. When purchasing food at grocery store, they tend to be in worse condition compared to the items at Food Day. It made me want to branch out and try something new because I tend to stay in my comfort zone when it comes to food. I would recommend everyone to attend at least once because you can learn a lot from it and it is a good experience and place to purchase fresh produce as well as other products. I plan on attending again in the future and hope to actually purchase something as well.

  35. I used to go to Farmer's Markets when I was little, but I didn't really know the importance of them at the time. The Coppell's Farmer's Markets really educated the importance of knowing where your food is coming from. It was nice know that I could buy things that I usually eat, every day from people in my community who actually care about the quality of the products that they are giving me. The fruits and vegetables looked delicious and fresh. It was such a change from the produce they sell at supermarkets which can sometimes have rotting fruits right next to the fresh ones. The vendors were really kind and welcoming to everyone and cared about their costumer's need. I really enjoyed going out the the Farmer's Market and the Food Day event was really fun! I'll probably go to the Farmer's Market again because I had such a great experience and all the food there looked and tasted absolutely amazing!

  36. Attending Farmer's Market was certainly an interesting first-time experience for me. In every stall where low-business farmers sold their wares, healthier alternatives to normally unhealthy foods could be seen. The quality of the food, it can be noted, was substantially higher quality than that of grocery stores as I sampled and bought some of their wares. The prices at which they sold these were more than affordable, making browsing there a fun and enlightening experience. Being present at this event was enough to prove to me that there are healthier, and perhaps even better as a whole, food options out there.

  37. The Farmer's Market was a great experience! It was really neat to see how much bigger the market has expanded over the years. Getting to walk around and see all the different tables and vendors was interesting and engaging. I got to sample a lot of different foods from bread to fresh honey. It was so much healthier than most alternatives and getting fresh produce and food was much more rewarding than buying something at a grocery store. There was even fresh salmon at the market which is really cool because they don't just sell vegetables and fruit there!

  38. I personally thought that Food Day at the Coppell Farmer's market was a fun way to get a community together in a fresh way. The environment was family oriented and made eating healthy look fun and easy for children and adults. I thought the selection of foods was very diverse, from honey to homemade pasta there certainly wasn't a shortage of options available for purchase. The produce was there, as always, but I felt that the selection of food was especially impressive today. There was fun face painting and cool stuff to keep the kids occupied as well. All in all I think it was a impeccably organized and well stocked Food Day for the Coppell Farmer's Market.

  39. I have not been to the farmers market in so long, and going to food day was very interesting for me. I have been trying to eat healthier for quite some time now and this was a great opportunity for me to see new and healthy foods. The fact that people still grow their own fruits and vegetables is amazing! I wish I could do something like that. Something that I really remember from food day is the pizza tent. I got to sample fresh pizza that they were cooking from the oven. It also surprised me that people buy meat there as well as healthier foods. I will definitely take time out of my schedule to go to the farmers market more often so that I can start eating healthy and right!

  40. The last time I visited the Coppell Farmers Market was probably when I was in elementary school. Food Day was a wonderful opportunity to experience and get familiar with so many healthy and new foods! I found it interesting that people actually make their own honey, where as my family just boys it from the grocery store and it is probably the farthest from organic. My family bought honey as well as several other healthy vegetables and fruits. I cannot wait to go back to the Coppell Farmers Market again!

  41. Food Day was a very interesting experience for it was the first time that I had gone to a Farmer's Market. This experience made me realize just how much food is available that not only is tasty, but also healthy. At the Food Mart, I saw a variety of stalls that were selling products such as honey, vegetables, pumpkins, and biscuits. Another observation that I made was that not much meat was available and that most of the food available was organic. Another thing that my friend and I did was vote on our favorite vegetables. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay long enough to hear the results. Overall, I am glad that I went to the Farmer's market because it emphasized that how important healthy eating is and that it is not too difficult to do.

  44. I really enjoyed the Food Day Farmer's Market! My mother nor I have ever been to it and it was a very big surprise to see how many people go every Saturday. There was so much fresh food and yummy things to eat. Everyone was so nice and welcoming that my mother and I are very excited to come back again! I tried many new foods and got a lot of good tips on how to stay healthy and what foods to eat! I will most certainly be visiting the Farmer's Market again very soon!

  45. Food Day at Coppell's Farmers Market was a very interesting thing for me to attend. It was very neat and eye-opening. I loved how they had all the different organics vegetables. I actually bought the best sourdough bread I've ever had! It was so organized and very cool to see how other people made their living while selling such great things for us to eat. I brought one of my good friends with me so he could help me take the picture. He actually bought some fresh organic veggies for his mom. All in all it was a great experience for me and i look forward for the next market!

  46. Food Day was pretty cool: lots of people selling lots of different things. Some of which seemed to be a little bit more nutritious than the cheeseburger I could have purchased at the Coppell Deli right down the road. I regret not buying anything, because I'm sure there were some foods there that tasted great! It was a good thing for all of us to attend.

  47. If I do say so myself, food day was a great and rather tasty experience. The array of healthy food that surrounded me made for a real treat (literally). I really enjoyed doing some detective business of my own and snooping around the Farmers Market, asking questions to people passing by and to the occasional vender. I was happy with my findings that all the food was very healthy, even the pizza and the salted caramel cookies (which I gladly purchased a little bit of each). All and all, Food Day at farmers market was a delightful experience and something that my stomach and I really enjoyed. It really made me reflect on past decisions, and while eating healthier isn't always the easiest choice, it certainly is the best choice.

The vendors were very informative and it helped me better understand a big part of some peoples lives!

  49. When i heard that i had to go to food day, i wasn't expecting much, but when i actually got there, it was a lot more lively, and fun than i expected. I enjoyed meeting the individual people that was there selling the organic food. I liked how the market was set up and how it was placed, but i would have like it more if it had included activities for high school students to experience something they haven't experienced or seen before.
overall, i had a lot of fun, and was good to see the community together enjoying themselves.

  50. When I went to the Coppell Farmer's Market, I didn't know what to expect, because it's a small town market. I remember, when I lived in Seattle, the closest 'Farmer's Market' was Pike Place Market and there were hundreds of vendors. I was surprised when I went to Food Day because although it was small, there was a wide variety of vendors that sold goods. There were vegetables, plants, breads, jams and even meats! Occasionally, the vendors would often give samples to attract the customers. I bought some fruits and breads to have for breakfast and I learned that eating healthier can be easy, with the right resources. I think I will be visiting the Coppell Farmer's Market more often; the pizza is to die for!

  51. I went to Food Day and expected to spend like 3 minutes there getting my picture and then leaving but when we got there and started looking around it was actually pretty interesting. I bought some chocolate chip oatmeal cookie mix and made it when I got home. My dad ate like 6 of them and even my mom enjoyed the organic cookies (she isn't a fan of oatmeal cookies or cookies in general). I will probably be going back next weekend to get some more cookie mix and some of the all natural soaps we looked at.

  52. I was somewhat skeptical about going to Food Day, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were a lot of really good and fresh foods and there were some nice-smelling soaps. My mom came with us and she bought some soaps, round zucchinis, some tomatoes, some granola, and a pie. Everything we bought was really good! I have never seen a round zucchini before! We also talked to a man about granola and he showed us how he un-shelled the stuff to make the granola. Everything we saw was really cool and I will definitely be going back to the Coppell Farmers' Market sometime soon!

  53. Food Day at Coppell Farmer's Market was a very eye opening experience for me! I saw many different varieties of food that looked so appetizing and the fact that the foods were healthy and organically grown makes the benefits of this food even better. I felt the sense of a close community when I went. This experience makes me want to go back with my mom next Saturday to buy produce and other foods provided by the vendors for my family. I feel that the Farmer's Market is a great way to keep Coppell healthy and aware of healthy and tasty foods!

  54. I really enjoyed going to Food Day. I have only been to the farmer's market once before so it was great to go again and really see what all they have to offer. I was not expecting there to be as much food and varieties of foods there such as vegetables, honey, and pizza. I have been tying to eat healthier so it was great to see all of the different foods. It was cool to see what made things healthier like the different ways they are grown and the natural ingredients that they included. It is a great way to provide the people of our community with healthier choices and keep people aware of what they are eating. I will defiantly be going again!
