Run a 5k!

Run a 5 or 10k, or even a one mile fun run and support a good cause.  What did you like about it?  What was the most challenging part?  Would you run another one?  Don't forget to upload your photograph from the event to the class photobucket account for documentation.

Coppell Education Foundation has a 5K on May 5 in Coppell.  Register at http://www.coppellisdef.com/

  1. I thought the zoo run was fun and interesting. It allowed me to time myself in a 5k since i haven't been timed in a distance run in a while. I liked how you got to go into the zoo afterwards since you couldn't really stop while running to look. I think the only thing I really didn't like was how the beginning was too narrow of a start on the street with that many people, and the zoo itself was a narrow course for a while. Other than that I had fun running through a zoo and would definitely do it again.

  2. I thought that the Coppell Education Foundation 5K was fun because I was able to do it with both of my parents. It wasn't really challenging for me because we walked it but I enjoyed getting to encourage my family the whole way. It was also neat that I got to help our Coppell Education Foundation because they do so much for me as I have been a student in Coppell for about 14 years. This was a great experience for not only me but for my family as well!

  3. The Zoo run was way too fun. I could not think of a cooler way to go to the zoo. Although the traffic getting to the event was a little obnoxious, we got to the zoo with plenty of time to start the race at the sound of the horn. The portion of the run that actually went through the zoo was so cool, and I made sure everyone around me knew I was enjoying it. I think the lady in front of me got slightly annoyed with my random "Wooooow"s. I wish more of the run was through the actual zoo, so we could see more of the animals. I think it would have motivated me to run more. I hope there are more zoo runs in the future, because I sign up again in a second!

  4. I did the zoo run 5K with my mom. I think the most challenging part was how crowded it was; we were just trying not to get trampled! :) I think the best part was finishing with my mom, and I think we will definitely do another one! It was such a fun experience and I will remember it for a very long time.
